My article on the Cullman Christmas Pyramid by Aaron Tanner
My article was published in the December 2021 edition of Alabama Living Magazine about Cullman’s Christmas Pyramid. For those who are new to north Alabama, Cullman is located off Interstate 65, halfway between Birmingham and Huntsville. Germans founded the town in the late 1800s. In 2019, Cullman decided to showcase its proud heritage by enacting a 30 foot tall Christmas Pyramid imported from Germany.
I recommend a trip to Cullman during the Christmas holidays to see this masterpiece and get into the holiday spirit. It costs nothing to see the Pyramid, and across the street in Depot Park is a walk-through Christmas display full of twinkling lights and a giant Christmas Tree. In my opinion, I thought the Pyramid was sensory-friendly, and it is also mobility accessible in the park and around the Pyramid next to the Cullman County Museum.
